Apps I use: Tunity (listen to audio on your smartphone from a TV you can't hear)

Have you ever been at a restaurant, bar or a waiting room with a silent TV but you wished you could hear the audio?  Well, with the Tunity app, you can!  I run into this situation a lot at sports bars.  They'll only have the audio on for the main game but I usually want to watch another game and have to settle for just the visuals rather than the full effect.  But with the Tunity app, I can scan the TV I'm watching and have the audio right on my phone.  This app can come in handy for many other situations as well.  You can watch TV in bed with your spouse without disturbing them, sitting in waiting rooms, hear what's going on when watching TV through windows from the sidewalk (if your a sports fan, you've done this) or hear the audio in noisy places like airports which is where I discovered this app.  Sitting in the gate area with CNN in the corner with the audio being drowned out every two minutes from a loud announcement, this app can bring calm during chaos.

You can download the app from the link below.  It's available for both Apple and Android platforms.
http://www.tunity.com/#download

Once you've installed the app, you'll be prompted register for free.  Open the app and you'll see the box below.  Make sure the TV is within the box and hit the tap the scan.

Using the Tunity App to scan a TV
Using the Tunity App to scan a TV

For best results, you should fill the box with the TV image.  But the above image was sufficient.

Screenshot of Tunity app tuned to a channel
Screenshot of Tunity app tuned to a channel

Once you have the channel synced, you can use the backwards and forwards buttons to fine tune the sync.  You may have to play around with this as sometimes your audio feed might be a second or two behind what's on TV.

Troubleshooting:
The only time I've run into issues was with national broadcast networks like Fox, CBS etc or shows that were on multiple channels such as Presidential debates.  In those instances, it would sync to a different channel so the actual show was right but the commercials were not.  This of course is not a big deal as I'm not watching TV for the commercials (most of the time anyways).

Most local affiliates won't be available but you can easily request support within the app.  No word on how often the requests are fulfilled.  Also, even with cable networks, the commercials will occasionally be out of sync due to local ad and national ads but the actual show will always be slotted the same.

All in all, it's a great app that's free with no ads!  Obviously, this app requires internet access as it's streaming audio.

Intex Challenger K1 Inflatable Kayak Review

I bought this inflatable kayak made by Intex a few weeks ago.  I've taken it out 3 times so far and love it.

Challenger K1 Inflatable Kayak by Intex cheap skeg
Challenger K1 Inflatable Kayak by Intex

I bought mine at Academy Sports & Outdoors for $69.99.  It comes with the kayak, air pump, 84 inch paddle, some repair patches and a carrying case.

My first impression is that this is well built.  It's heavy, about 30 pounds.  It's not a cheap pool toy!  It's made of a pvc/rubber material that feels thick.  Intex makes inflatable swimming pools so they know a thing or two about inflatable products!

The included instructions are a bit confusing but here's all you need to know.

1.  Unroll kayak on ground.  Make sure there are no debris or rocks.
2.  Pump up chamber 1.  It's inside the kayak on the right side.  Make sure you screw the main valve and only open the top cap.  These are Boston Valves which allow fast deflation and easy inflation.
There is a clear ruler included.  There is a measuring guide next to the valve.  Don't over inflate!
3.  Pump up chamber 2. It's on top on the back.  The measuring guide is to the right of the valve.
4.  Inflate the green footrest/support.  There is a tip on the pump hose that will fit the footrest and seat.  Don't over inflate.  This goes inside to the front of the kayak.  This provides some stiffness on the front and makes sure your feet don't go too far up.
5.  Inflate seat.  2 chambers.  Install seat.  There is velcro on the floor of the kayak and the bottom of the seat.  Curl the top section of the seat inside of kayak and clip in straps to floor of the kayak.
6.  Don't install the Skeg (plastic fin) until you're ready to go.  The rounded point should be facing the rear.  Make sure the fin clips into the base.  It should not come out.
7.  Assemble the paddle.  You can offset one side for better ergonomics if you want.
8.  Set in water and get in!  There is space behind the seat (though you'll have to put that stuff in before you install the seat and won't be able to access it.  This is a good place to put the pump and carrying case.  On the front, there is a nice cargo net that can accommodate a backpack and or small cooler.

Challenger K1 Inflatable Kayak by Intex water
Challenger K1 Inflatable Kayak by Intex in the water
The kayak feels stable.  Just don't lean too far to the right or the left.  There are some complaints that the kayak doesn't track well.  I found this to be true but not a huge issue.  Just make sure your weight and any cargo is evenly distributed.  That should help.

It's not a fast kayak but that's not why I bought it.  I bought it to sort of lounge around and relax.
That said, the paddles are a little on the short side which makes for uneven strokes at times.  You could certainly buy a new paddle if you wanted.

When it's time to pack up, I find that releasing the air on top first helps.  It takes about 5 minutes for each chamber to deflate fully.  You'll need to hold the top up while deflating the bottom chamber.  I find that folding the sides of the kayak in and then folding from one end works well.  The included carrying bag is not the best.  There are only handles and no should strap.  I had an old wheeled duffel bag lying around and use that.  It works great.

Challenger K1 Inflatable Kayak by Intex
A little snug but overall comfortable
All in all, for $70, this kayak can't be beat.  I've enjoyed the few times I've been out.  Since I don't own a car, a traditional kayak is out of the question and I've looked at kayak rentals and rowing club memberships but owning the kayak was more appealing to me. If you have some extra money lying around and live near water, this is a great deal.

Of all the complaints that I've read about this kayak, it's mainly quirky minor issues but rarely the actual build quality of the kayak.

Here's an update from my 5th trip out!

Got the inflation and deflation routine down.  Usually in the water in about 10 minutes and packed up in 15.

* Don't forget your safety equipment.  Any public river, lake, reservoir or other body of water in the US require that kayak users have a USCG Type I,II or III life jacket (1 for solo kayaks and 2 for tandems) and a whistle. Also check with state and local restrictions.

Did Melania Trump plagiarize Michelle Obama's speech or did Michelle Obama travel into the future and plagiarized Melania Trump's speech?

While it's easy to think that Melania Trump's speech sounded an awful lot like Michelle Obama's speech in 2008, what if Michelle Obama had access to a time machine and went into the future and found a speech she liked and changed a few things here and there and wowed everyone in 2008?  It's the perfect crime because in the end, when time catches up, it's Trump who looks like the plagiarist.
But did Obama go far enough ahead to see who won the election?

If you're a child of the 80's or early 90's, you may have fond memories of playing Super Mario 3 for hours on end.  What better way to rehash those memories than with an awesome hoodie inspired by the game.  The Super Mario Racanooki Tanooki hoodie from 80's tees will bring a smile to you and everyone around you.

One cannot help but want to wag the tail and jump around!  The drawstrings around the waist can raise and lower the tail as well as wag it back and forth.

But don't wear this hoodie in the middle of the summer!  I did and pass out.  Yeah, but this hoodie is warm and fuzzy on a cool day.

People will be mystified by you when you wear this hoodie.  Many scream Super Mario! while younger people might be puzzled by your choice of wardrobe.  People have thought I was a bear, reindeer, moose or camel.  It doesn't matter!

For $50 (regular sizes), you'll be happy you bought this.  This is NOT just for Halloween.  I wear this hoodie every chance I get.  It's a tad bulky with the tail and hood but you just can't beat this hoodie for something unique to wear.

Don't be a victim... of a crime of opportunity!

Don't be a victim... of a crime of opportunity! Starbucks Theft nikon d5300
Don't be a victim... of a crime of opportunity!

In today's world, it can be easy to let your guard down.

I was recently at a popular coffee shop near downtown Chicago that most people probably would feel safe at and was a victim of theft!

Yeah, it sucks ass.  I mean, I'm a person who's been around the block several times so I should have known better.

I was sitting at the back of the shop with my mother, the only entrance was at front.  There was only one restroom right next to where I was sitting.  I had both of my cellphones out.  When not using one, the other was directly in front of me on the table less than six inches away.

Shortly after sitting down, I noticed a few male teens hanging out in the front.  I didn't think much of it until one by one, they came back and used the restroom.  It didn't seem significant of course but after the third teen came out, he swooped in and grabbed my phone and bolted out of the store.

It happened so fast.  I was using my other phone and all of a sudden this person came up, knocked over my coffee and before I knew what had happened, he was already at the door.  I didn't have time to chase him if I wanted too.  My mother was hysterical but I just had to be calm, to keep her calm.  Some other patrons sitting nearby (YES, this happened with lots of people!) saw what happened and urged me to call the police.  Unfortunately, that's about all I could do.

Of course, in retrospect, it was obvious.  Three people who came in, they didn't buy anything, used the restroom and one by one they left.  They were casing the place.  Looking for an easy target.  To my dismay, the easy target was me.

For formalities, I did call the police and filed a report.  Having your most personal item taken from you makes you realize how much you need your phone.  I did have a pattern lock on it so hopefully that will be enough to keep my data secure until it's flashed or abandoned.  I also used Google's device locator service and put in a data wipe command which I hope goes through the next time the phone is online as well as reporting the phone stolen through my carrier.  For what its worth, it's an old phone (to me), a Samsung Note 3 so it's not the end of the world but it's the data, the data on the phone and miniSD card that I'm most concerned with.  The emails, the texts, the photos and my personal thoughts in my memo apps.  If only I could be assured that was erased, I can care less about the phone!

The unknown is what haunts most people. Most of the data on the phone is backed up.  I have changed all of the passwords of websites and apps that I had on the phone.  All new email passwords and I will use the cloud more to automatically back up important files.

As I mentioned earlier, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.
It's so easy to get lost in a text or looking through a website that you would't even notice someone staring at you, your laptop, your purse sitting in the open.  We take it for granted assuming that people wouldn't be stupid enough to steal in broad daylight but it happens all the time.  You can't assume anything.

 - Rule number one.  Always keep an eye on your stuff. Easier said than done of course.  But if it doesn't need to be out, then keep it hidden.  I usually do keep my second phone in my pocket.  For whatever reason, I just didn't think about it.  I have a habit of switching back and forth between phones that I rarely have time to put one back.  It's so easy to get distracted. I can't count the number of times I've set my phone down on the counter to pay for something.  It only takes a split second for someone to grab it.

- Don't assume people will watch your stuff!  You have no idea how many times I see people get up and go to the bathroom or go out and smoke while leaving their stuff on the table.  You can't assume other people nearby are paying attention.

- Look for people out of place.  Thieves generally hang around the front.  Looking for possible marks.  Some are more obvious that others.  Note people who don't fit the norm.  People who enter a coffee shop typically buy something.  I should have spotted that immediately.  It didn't help that it was Halloween so some people came in to the store with their children to "trick or treat" so I probably hap haphazardly associated the teens with treat or treaters even though none were in costume.

- Don't chase.  It all happened in an instant and I immediately realized there was nothing I could do.  It would have been pointless to run after the thief.  I'm out of shape and I myself had a costume on so it would have looked really weird for a man in a raccoon costume chasing a teenager, irregardless why.  If my mother had not been sitting there, perhaps my chase instinct may have kicked in.  But nothing is worth getting killed over.  I had no idea who these teens were or if they were armed so it would have been stupid to try and chase them.

- Constantly back up your data.  While I'm not a huge fan of the cloud, it can come in handy in times like this.  I do however backup my data about once a month and just did so a few days ago.  So the videos and photos I shot on my recent Alaskan vacation are safe. Fortunately, most apps and websites routinely ask for passwords but it is wise to change them all if your smartphone is stolen.  Also, it is wise to have a screen lock such as a pin code, pattern lock or finger print.

- Don't give thieves the chance.  Again, this is easier said than done.  I normally do hold my devices in such a manner it would be hard for someone to grab it.  I usually "claw" my smartphone with 4 points of contact.  Don't leave things out in the open.  It seems ridicules to think people would steal right in front of you but it happens all freaking day long.

Lastly, shit happens.  Not sure if I can say that but it does.  It sucks.  It hurts.  It's actually quite embarrassing.  But we are a civilized group of people.  The person who stole my phone won't have many options.  It was reported stolen through my carrier and through a police report so any pawn shop would likely turn it down from the getgo.  I know most pawn shops steer clear from Sprint phones anyhow due to the CDMA lock.  Selling on craigslist would be unlikely as the person buying the phone would request to call sprint to confirm it's not stolen.  It could be flashed I'm sure but it would wipe the data.  Since it's a CDMA phone, it cannot be formally unlocked without my permission.  So, provided they somehow they bypassed my pattern lock, which is possible via the smudge lines but it was raining so I could hope the smudges got blurred, they could just look at my Alaska photos and read my John Grisham ebooks.  If they connect to the internet at all, the phone should get the wipe command.

I'm certainly bummed out but I'm thankful no one was hurt and I thank the woman sitting next to me who was able to provide the police a fairly good description of the teens.  I'm by no means am expecting to see my phone again but just hope that data got erased.  Especially my wet fart rap song I was working on.

Flying to Alaska! Aviation, Airplane Time-lapse

Took a few videos and pictures on my way from Denver International Airport to Ted Stevens International Airport.  This was my first trip to Alaska and I felt I should try and capture as much as possible.

From Denver is about 5 hours and in coach, that's a long flight!  Held my pee and fart the whole flight. Great photo ops and a beautiful day until got on the ground in Anchorage.  Haha, gloomy and rainy for days!

There is a nice observation deck on the secure side of the concourse.

Nice angle of a jet bridge

Just liked this scene.  Lots of equipment.  Would make a difficult puzzle

Nice low jet bridge with incoming heavy

The tarmac with 747 cargo planes in background

I love airports and corridors.  Nice shot between the north and south terminals

EPIC Randomness: Supercar Window Shopping in Chicago

If you enjoy looking at cars you'll never be able to afford, then look no further than downtown Chicago.  There are numerous dealers with eye candy on display.

If you start at Clark and Maple, you'll be at the Audi, BMW and Aston Martin dealers.
You can often times see an R8 at the Audi dealer.
The BMW dealer usually has an i8 on the floor.
The Aston Martin dealer has the most fancy cars in this area.

Walk south on Clark to Huron and you'll be at Mancuso Motorsports.
McLaren is the highlight but you'll likely see other supercars like Vipers and Porsches.

Walk east on Huron to Rush and take a left.  Walk up Rush to Pearson and you'll be at the Lamborghini Bentley Gold Coast.  The pinnacle of supercar window shopping.

You may also wish to keep walking up Rush to State.  There are many fine restaurants in this area and you'll likely see some luxury and supercars in the valet.

How to take better smartphone photos - Video Instructional Tutorial

While a smartphone will never replace a really good point and shoot or DSLR, it is possible to take great photos using some simple steps covered in my video.  And in today’s world, it’s not always practical or safe to carry an expensive camera everywhere you go so learning how to optimize the device you always have will help you better capture your world.

Whether you have the latest iPhone 6 or an older Samsung Note III, using these simple tips can help turn lackluster photos into "that came from a smartphone?" photos.

Be sure to check out all of the videos on my channel!

EPIC Randomness: Lab Rat on the loose: An Epic Adventure

A video I have worked on.  I have made several versions but this is the last one!
I shot it in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Chicago and Grayslake.

I used a Samsung Galaxy Note III smartphone.  I did everything myself using clamps and selfie camera.

Is there a point to the video?  Not really.  I just enjoy wearing my hoodie.  It's me.  I love the plush tail, the ears, the fuzzy white belly.  Every time I wear it, it brings smiles to most people. There are always cold people who just can't admit an Asian guy in an animal hoodie strums their banjo.

** June 15th, 2015
I replaced the music with Silent Partner - Don't Turn Back
I find this new track really fits the song better than the previous and ibhave rebranded the video as The Rat! An Epic Adventure!
The music alone can completely make or break a video and I think this music takes my video to a while new level. Perhaps that viral level!

Does the Acer H236HL LED monitor have speakers?

The Acer H236HL 23" LED Monitor is a budget monitor with a great 1080 by 1920 full HD picture.

Acer H236HL LED Monitor - Speakers
Acer H236HL Monitor set up
Upon setting up the monitor, one will notice ports on the bottom which one would assume to be speaker ports as well as volume controls on the bottom of the monitor so hooking your computer up with HDMI should yield audio, right?

Wrong.  Sadly, this model does not have speakers.  I purchased the monitor at a Best Buy store and didn't check the speaker situation prior to purchasing as this wasn't a factor in my selection.  I just thought having the speakers were the icing on the cake until I simply could not get them to work.

After further investigation, I read the manual which also indicates that not all models have the speakers and finally took a picture of the ports to confirm that this model does not have speakers.  Also, I looked up the specifications on Best Buy's website which also indicated no speakers.   Bummer because that would really have made this monitor an outstanding value.  Nonetheless, I love the picture and again, did not purchase the monitor because I thought there were speakers,

Two Steps From Hell: The group you thought you never heard of

If Cirque du Soleil and Trans-Siberian Orchestra had a child, it would sound a lot like Two Steps From Hell.
Like most people, I have never heard of TSFH but after further research, I have heard lots of TSFH.  If you've seen the trailer from many of the Harry Potter films, The Dark Knight, Rise of the Planet of the Apes,  Inception and many other blockbuster films in the past several years, then you've already have been exposed to TSFH.  They have also provided music for many video games as well.  If you watched the 8th season of America's Got Talent, Kenichi Ebina used a few songs from TSFH which helped propel him to a first place finish.  Ironically, Ebina used TSFH's For The Win as his final performance which led to his victory.

I love the style of music that TSFH performs.  It reminds me greatly of Cirque du Soleil and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  A little from column A and a little from column B.  It's great background music while working and can put you in the mood to accomplish the impossible.  If you haven't listened to Two Steps From Hell on your own accord, you have no idea what you're missing!

How to fix an uneven table

Ever check into a hotel and set your stuff down on the table only to discover the table legs are uneven or the table is wobbly?

Check under the table to determine if it's the table mount to the legs that is loose or if it's the feet that are uneven.  If it's the table mount, call for maintenance.

If it's the feet, first check to see if there are feet adjustments.  Most tables have feet that can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the feet in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation.

If for some reason that doesn't work, use a phone book as illustrated above.  Sure, it's not the prettiest solution but it's quick and you can adjust the height by adding or subtracting pages.  It's usually only on leg of the table that's off anyways.

Oblivion: IMAX vs Regular **Spoilers**

The post-apocalyptic genre is quite crowded this year and Oblivion will set the bar high.

This is truly an epic sci-fi movie for the ages.  I know that’s a pretty bold statement for anyone to say, especially coming from an ordinary Joe who thinks most movies are pretty extraordinary.  The hallmark of a great movie is that it can transport you from your stupid life to something better, more meaningful.  Perhaps you feel the characters, know the characters or even are the characters.  It is this connection you feel to the movie that makes it memorable.  Oblivion is no exception and will stir and prod your imagination.

How you see a movie can make a significant impact on the experience you feel.  I have seen this movie at a regular theater as well as a converted IMAX (not true IMAX but still much larger screen, resolution and upgraded sound system) and I would highly recommend seeing the IMAX version.  Certain scenes had details cropped out on the regular screen whereas the IMAX gave you the bigger picture.  See example in Spoiler section.

The epic nature of the film, the spectacular scenery, equally exciting soundtrack and overall context of the film deserves to be seen in IMAX.  I cannot imagine how it will look on my laptop but will look forward to the twentieth anniversary rerelease in 2033.

The soundtrack by M83 is an epic masterpiece that compliments the already epic picture.  My favorite track would be Oblivion which starts off the credits roll.  After seeing this great film, this song just keeps you in the moment while you exit back to reality.

**Spoiler Alert!**

I shall sum up the movie in one paragraph:

Basically, the alien (Tet) captured Jack Harper and Vic who were astronauts and then cloned them and brainwashed them to believe that the moon was destroyed which also destroyed much of earth by the scavengers and that all remaining humankind is temporarily living on the Tet before moving to their new home on Titan but then Jack's wife Julia who was also an astronaut returns to earth after being ejected from the cockpit 60 years prior and jogs Jack's repressed memories meanwhile Jack learns the truth that it was the Tet that destroyed the moon and eliminated the human population to harvest the resources on earth and the scavengers are in fact the last remaining humans.

Plot Hole: When Jack 49 visits 52's House

When Jack Harper 49 used Jack Harper 52's copter to visit 52's tower, Jack Harper 49 was still wearing his 49 jacket.  Why didn't Victoria 52 notice this?  Now, here's the tricky part.  On a normal movie screen, you can't see the 49 on the jacket while he is in 52's tower.  However, on an IMAX screen, you can see the 49 on the jacket throughout the scene.  I guess since the IMAX screen displays at a much higher resolution than the standard screen, they cropped out this key scene.  There may be other scenes affected by the cropping but none like this scene.

In Conclusion:

It seems that we are all just looking to fulfill what we think will make us happy though the end result may not always be what it seems.

If there is one movie you see this spring, it should be Oblivion and see it in IMAX if you want to give this film justice.

How to go up in the John Hancock building in Chicago for free!

If you’re in Chicago and want to get a fantastic view of the city and Lake Michigan, then there are two places to go, the Willis Tower and the John Hancock Center.  While I have no tips for the Willis Tower, I can tell you that you can go up the John Hancock Center for free, well, almost free.  The Signature Room on the 95th floor and the Signature Lounge on the 96th offer both free admissions.  The only catch is you have to order an entrĂ©e at the restaurant or order at least one drink in the lounge.  You won’t be able to access the observation deck but you’re only a few floors below that and still get the same spectacular view.

As you can imagine, the prices are as high as the building but if you’re going to pay to get the view, you may as well get a drink with it!  I enjoy hanging out in the lounge in the early afternoon while sipping a fine whiskey on the rocks.  Just make sure it’s a clear day if you want to get some good pictures.  It does get crowded at night so try to get in late afternoon or early evening if you want to see the light of the city.  If you plan on eating in the restaurant, reservations are a must.  A limited bar menu is served in the lounge.  Think small appetizers and sandwiches but the quality is top notch.

So the next time your in Chicago or if you need to impress your friends, take the free ride to the 95th or 96th and enjoy a fine meal or drink with your view.

The entrance is on the south side of the building by the Chase Bank, not the observation entrance.

This policy is fairly common at any observation tower with a restaurant and bar.

Do Reality TV shows benefit or hurt the industries they cover?

Reality TV.  It seems that there is a show for just about any industry, occupation or lifestyle.  Deadliest Catch, Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, Parking Wars, Gold Rush, Extreme Couponing and many more.  I’m not talking about game shows like Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother, America’s Got Talent or anything like that.  We all like to see someone else succeed in their business cause it gives us normal folk inspiration and hope that we can do it too.  But do these shows do more harm than good?

I like Pawn Stars to a certain extent because it shows the business aspect of the pawn industry and the team at Pawn Stars for the most part, seem to be on the level and ethical.  Obviously, when selling or pledging your items to a pawn shop, it comes down to who offers the best deal.  Most customers fail to realize that a pawn shop has to buy an item at a price where they can make a profit when they sell it.  But I have seen many instances where the staff of Pawn Stars have gone above and beyond the ethical standards to ensure that their customers are getting a fair deal, even when the customers tend to be ill-informed or greedy.  I’ll use the Faberge Spider Brooch as an example.  The seller came in asking for $2,000 for her brooch which she did not know much about.  The “Old Man” without hesitation offered $15,000 as his final offer but yet the woman decided that if he would offer $15k, he would offer more.  While there is speculation to whether or not the brooch was authentic, the point is that the “Old Man” could have just took her $2,000 offer and made a killing but he knew based on his knowledge of the item that a fair offer was considerably higher than the customer asked for.

On the other end of the spectrum, I think the show Shipping Wars may be bad for the independent the shipping industry.  After seeing the first season of Shipping Wars, I would more than likely not use the site uShip to ship my precious items.  Grant it that any reality TV series only represents a tiny fraction of the industry, I still feel it represents the industry as a whole.  If one person is doing their job a particular way, then more than likely others are as well.  Seeing how the drivers handled their loads and their equipment would cause me to be leery of trusting them with my stuff.  But I guess that’s what insurance is for.  Ironically, I did ship some things cross country using Uship and there were a few hiccups but my stuff did make it within the window.  I'll share this story sometime.

In some instances, I think these shows serve as a vehicle for recruiting new people.  After watching a season of Deadliest Catch, who wouldn’t feel compelled to try it for a season?  Perhaps you might want to hunt down a gold claim to dig for riches?  Wrestle crocodiles in the Bayou?  Buy a storage unit and see what treasures it may hold?

It’s important to note that while it looks easy to go buy five hundred dollars worth of groceries for five dollars with your satchel of coupons, very few people can pull it off.  Of all the lockers you see on Storage Wars, they only show the best stuff and hilarious items but only a fraction of the footage they gather.

In the end, it’s up to the viewer to decide what the show does for them.  Most people just watch the shows because they are interesting but some people find that these shows light that spark to try something different.

Keep napkins and coasters from sticking to glasses

Ever been at a bar or restaurant and been served an ice cold drink on a napkin and every time you picked up the drink, it stuck to the napkin or coaster?  There is a very easy and quick fix to that!  Just sprinkle some regular table salt on the napkin, even if the napkin is already wet.  The salt acts as a barrier between the paper and the moisture and you’ll be able to pick up the glass time and time again without trying to detach that pesky napkin!
